I'm headed out to California again on a business trip. I'd like to stay a day or two extra to ride at Pismo. Riding in the dunes is something I've always wanted to do. I'm experienced rider just looking for a good place to rent from. I'd like to avoid geting a junker 400ex. I've found one place that rents 450's but the website is a bit sketchy. Just wondering if anyone here can direct in a reputable rental place.

I've rented from Steve's before. BJ's is also a big renter as well. I can't remember the name of another one, starts with an "A" (Arnies). Friend rented a 250 from them (granted, this was in '03, IIRC) and it was running horribly and they couldn't care less. Most of the rentals out there will look like they are in bad (physical) shape but run good. Most are missing the headlights. I think they remove them so they are easy to spot as rentals and people can't ride them at night.

Thanks, Steve's had horrible customer service and couldn't answer my questions and Arnies was clsoed when I called. I need to give them another ring.

Call SABI at recreation unlimited on the huntington beach orange county area. He is one of the best people you will ever meet.
He may bring you out with some ATVs.

Absolutely cannot say enough about this guy.

We consider him a friend for life!
