I just got a new 2008 yamah grizzly 700efi with eps. they have the extended warranty up to 4 years and dont know if i should get more than the 6 months it comes with. It has all this electrical stuff i am not used to on my bikes and sport quads. Does things ushualy happen to them within 4 years?

The dealer threw in a 5 year extended warranty for an extra $100 when we bought our second Grizzly 700. I don't know if I'll ever use it though. We have about 2500 miles on both of our Grizzlys, and neither one has ever been back to the shop for any reason. I do my own maintenance, including checking the valve lash after engine break-in.

I've bought them in the past and have never used them. Like Desertviper said do your maintenance and you"ll most likely be good to go. I also hear people having a hard time once they have a problem getting the warrenty to pay.

Thats the thing with all warranties on atv's and dirt bikes as well. It all comes down to the dealers disgression. Even on the factory warranty. Anything can be labeled as abuse or neglect on these things. On the warranty subject, it's about time the standard 6 month warranty be extended. We give upwards of 10K for these toys and only get a 6 month warranty.....thats pure BS.

I agree 100% 10K + and you get a 6 month? Bull SHit! If they realy have to best atv as claimed it would be at least 5. I love yamahas and most atv makers exept polaris because my other polarises were dark wholes who always were costing me money but if you say you have the best macine then stand behind it with a 5 year or somethin!

yamaha had a 2 year factory when I got mine... and I bought 3 more years for 300... A small price to pay...

Course, I have a really good dealer, so I'm not worried about waranty work...

I would get it if I were you...
