Hello all, I am new to the atv community and just bought a used 04'Kodiak 400 utility 2wd ride. I noticed that the coolant is a little low and was wondering what kind of coolant I add? Will regular car antifreeze mixture work?

My other question is the quad has trouble staying ideling, when the throttle is opened all the way. If I put it half way in between choke and wide open it is ok, if i open it up it dies. I have to stay on the throttle in order for it to keep from dying out. The guy at the shop said try adjusting the throttle screw, fine but the problem I ran into there was that it is stuck and wont budge. It is a screw inside a tube/hose like thingy, so when you go turn the screw, the tube wants to turn with it. Im affraid to put the pliers on the tube and attempt to turn the screw, dont want to damage the tube.. Any suggestions on this one.

What about adding carb cleaner to your gas tank? does this work to help clean carb like in a vehicle?

Sorry like I said this is all brand new to me and the guys at the local shops don't seem to want to help you out to much unless your droping a load of cash for the repairs..
