Alot of people dont like the shee cuz it supposedly doesnt have the handling and the power isnt as broad as some of the new bikes. I want yalls opinions on the bike. Likes, dislikes, needed mods to be competitive on the track and trail.

I have a Raptor 700 (stock) and a Banshee (pipes, k&N, reeds, jetting) and they are both great. The banshee is awesome because of the powerband. The suspension is not very good, but I think the handleing is OK. It is just plain fun to ride! On fire roads, in the sand or in drags its great. On tight trails or in mud...not so much. I never ride on the track so I can't help u there.

if a track quad is what you are looking for the shee is not it. one one the reason is it is so heavy compaired to other 2strokes. it just my opnion but if you want a good all around 2stroke get a 250r or lt250.

The Shee never had good frame geometry, suspension, or ergonomics. Sure, 20 years ago it was considered ok, but by todays standards for suspension and handling....it isn't even in the ballpark.

All it really had going for it was that thrilling powerband, but when you consider that it didn't have any low end which made it a dog out on the trails, is sure wasn't ever an all-around machine. All my buddies who were diehard Shee riders a decade ago, are now on 450R's!!!

I have an 04 Banshee thats pretty much bone stock I ride almost daily on some pretty rough trails and the only mods I've really felt I needed to do where gear it down a bit which I did ($13) and I put a swingarm skidplate on it ($60) and it does great. I can blow all my friends 400EXs and Raptor 660s away on the trails. But when it comes to the new 450s I just dont have a chance without pipes.
