NEW! An operator 18 years or older may carry a passenger,
or up to the number of passengers for which the vehicle was
designed, which ever is greater.

Does this mean that we now all have to have 2 ups to ride with a passenger.

I found this in the 2007 2008 regs on the MnDNR web site.

I think this is more designed at kids giving rides to other kids. I think if you are giving your own two kids a slow ride you will not be bothered. It's all about "spirt" of the law v. "letter" of the law.

This law is for class II ATVs in Minnesota more commonly known as side by sides or UTVs. It states on page 28: Class 1 ATVs (ATVs under 900lbs dry) NEW! An operator over 18 may carry one passenger.
