Congratulations, Dave.

Are there any plans on them changing the site?

Hope they realize what a good job you've done with it, and don't try to make it "new and improved."

Thank you Scott. There are no plans at this time for any major site changes, although we are working on some stuff to improve performance of the site. Bandwidth will be increased by probably about 50 fold towards the end of this year. We're also working on an upgrade to fix the problem where the forum is locking up several times a day. That fix should be done within about 2 weeks.

Interesting...

I hope they let some things be. I can see where some things might not be welcome some places.

Congratulations Dave. Are you going to be staying on or buying a small private island in the tropics to take an early retirement?

BRW,

Thank You! I'll still be involved with the site for a couple of years. That small private island does sound tempting though! *chuckle

Congrats!

I'd like to chime in with others and say I hope that nothing changes dramatically. I come HERE because I like THIS.

If I wanted something different, I'd have gone elsewhere.

This may sound like a Dum question but.....why'd ya do it Dave? This thing had to have been your baby. I'am just saying, that to walk away (in a few years) and then look back....I hope this is place is still what you envisioned. If not, I guess the small island will help.

Congrats/thanks for making this site what it is, and cheers to the future!

MrDumass,

Not a dumb question. I received an offer I couldn't refuse. Also, I believe in the long run it was in the best interest for ATV Connection. Internet Brands has an I.T. staff of about 50 developers. They also have deep financial resources. Those two items position them to be able to do tremendous things with the site. I'll be working on the site for another 2 years. During that time, I'm hoping to be able to deploy some of the things that have been part of my vision for the site for many years.
