I am an avid hunter, with a gun for pretty much everything. Several deer rifles, but my newest is an antelope rifle- a Weatherby Vanguard Deluxe .257 Wby Mag.
When I hunted back east I preferred my Marlin 336 .30-30. Out here I like the reach on the Weatherby.
I also take advantage of muzzleloading season, I use a .54 cal Timber Ridge inline. Generally the 408 grain Powerbelts since sabots are illegal in CO.

My biggest quarry is coyote, for which I generally use my Howa 1500 chambered in .22-250. I use Remington Accu-tip factory rounds.
But I also like to take my Remington 870 12 guage with a super tight choke and number four buckshot for songdogs.

I love that Remington 870. If I could only have one gun- it'd be my shotgun. I am also fanatical about small game hunting, and I hunt it all with that 12 gauge. Rabbit being something I hunt alot since I take my dog and my daughter and they love it.

Nice. Uncommon to see Weatherby chamberings in non-Weatherby guns. I have always been fascinated with Weatherby's, and finally got one last year. It's gorgeous and I love the classic stock on the Deluxe model.

But factory Wby ammo is the most expensive stuff on the planet. About 4 dollars a shot and up. Not a range gun- it's a hardcore hunter. I'll reload when I get a new house and room for a bench.

I really like the forum Weatherby Nation alot. Ed Weatherby himself is on it all the time and there's nothing like having the man in charge right there to chat with. Someone mentioned a problem they were having with a gun and Ed sent him a box postage paid and had it looked at the factory. Seriously- the president of the company, son of the founder got online and took care of this dude personally.

Although technically all the Vanguards are made by Howa. Also have a Howa and like it, so no problem there....

Kel-Tecs are pretty nice. But for a subcompact 9mm, I prefer the Kahr MK-9. Actually my wife loved that piece, I prefer .40 S&W or good old .357 magnum, both of which are what I carry concealed- a Firestar for the .40 and a Taurus 605 snubby in .357

I love bow hunting and mostly use a Parker Hunter Mag compound bow with IBO of 307 and draw of 60lbs. I also hunt with a Barnett RC-150 crossbow with 150 lb draw and 260 FPS. And I also hunt with a flint rock muzzy which is accurate to about 100 yards.

I am planning on getting the new Parker Black Hawk XP with 325 IBO.
