This spring I will be going to St. Anthony Dunes. Is there a good place to dry camp for free or cheap. BLM campgrounds are often cheap. My trailer is self contained so do not need power or water. Would also like to camp in an area where small kids can ride motorcycles (not on sand). Really looking forward to going. Thank you for any information.

You can dry camp at Desert Oasis for about ten bucks a night. They have a little kiddie track too. Only problem is their dry camp area gets all the party nuts and some undesirables.

BLM campground has dry camp spots for about 13 bucks in the smaller non-power spots. The kids can ride around the parking lot there. It's a crap shoot whether you can get a spot there or not, first come first serve.

good luck out there, I was out there in Sept. I believe it was the Oasis area. I was thinking it was like 30 bucks a night but it might depend on the time of year. The camp mascot "Taco" (dog) will pee on your tires. The camp site itself was a nice step up from kill-pecker. I don't see sand like that around here so it was an incredible trip. I hope it all works out for you and you have a safe trip.
