Hi I my 2001 DS 650 might be in need of a rear shock unit. When you ride it and hit bumps it flops around like a wet noodle. You can press it down by hand and when you let go it doesnt simply just pop up like a functional shock it seems to bounce back and up and down a few times before settling.

I dont see any oil leaking on the unit itself, I tried turning the shock valve with a screwdriver in and out but it made no difference.

Is there something I am doing wrong, is the shock pooched?

Now my second question is I found a replacement shock on ebay and its enroute as we speak (I hope)

Is it fairly simple to swap shocks. It looks like just a few bolts am I right or is this going to be a nightmare.

Anyone got any tips for me or have done this before?

Thanks again
