Just my opinion i'm not to concerned with top speed so what if i can only go 50 instead of 54 it's very rare i get going that fast on the trails anyways. can anyone compare how the hauk and EPI compare when it comes to low and mid. i'm thinking more torque would be better for mud and trail riding ect. but thats just me.

yeah thats what i read too. i'm not really sure what the hauk work does besides allowing more travel on your old clutch vs. a brand new one from EPI

Not too many people have the hauck yet, and I dont know if anybody has switched from the EPI to Hauck, or the other way around....so I doubt anybody has really lined the two up against eachother to see how they compare. I'm happy with how mine performes....it smokes my buddies wolverine 450 from start to finish, and I beat his Grizzly 700 from 0-55...no complaints from me.

the epi clutch kit does not replace anything but the springs and rollers, so you can have hauck machine the primary clutch basket and have both(which is what im planning on doing with mine when I get a little more $$ in the bank.)

The epi clutch kit does give you a lot more low end power though.

I went the Hauck route since I didn't want to lose any top end. As a hauck owner, I will vouch that I can see a difference in bottom end and throttle response time. Depending on how much grease you pack in your rollers it may take a little time to notice the reaction time. Once it is "broke" in you will notice a nice difference.

i think i like the idea of doing both. i'm not sure what it would do. if you would get the low end of the EPI and the high end of the hauk should be interesting to see how it pans out

Yea.. I agree. I'm waiting on Chris's and Derrel's input before I make the jump. I really can't seeing any ill effects, but, I don't want to piss the $$ away if it is just a balancing issue.

First of all 7 day turnaround is GREAT! It looks like they took about 1/4" off of the low and high ends of the roller travel I can't wait to see how it works. I'll post results ASAP.
