I am rebuilding my engine for the first time. I have the top end off and have started working on the bottom. I need a puller and was wondering where to get the best tool at for a reasonable price. Also I believe there is a special tool I need when working on the clutch side? Where can I purchase that at also?
Ok my last question, Can some experienced rebuilders give me advice as to what to replace and what not to replace while I have the engine out?
I am doing this because my piston rings burned up.
Thank you all and I will be replying and posting pictures as this evolves. Im changing my color scheme as well!!

Also: Everything else is working fine as of the time I took it apart.

Thanks again to all!

well if you can find 2 bolts that fit into the stator cover put a pair of vice grips on the and hit it with a rubber mallet to pull it out now on the clutch side use a impact to remove bolt that holds basket on it is reverse threads turn right to take off there is a keeper pin in there so dont lose it you can just put a big wrench behind basket and move it around and it will come off also there is another bolt right side of that you have to use a impact also count the threads on basket before you pull it off when you put it back together if you put it to tight it wont spin try to count all of them and mark them so you know then after you take all bolts out that you have to take the rubber mallet and tap where the rod is in that open area and cases will start to split dont jam a screwdriver in there to pull them apart all bolts have lock thread on them so be sure to put it back on and use some assy lube when you put back together the tranny gears should stay together you will have to take fork off tho any other questions i keep an eye on this
