06 eiger 5 spd ride through lots of mud and water. for about a year or so now there has been a scraping sound coming for the front end i believe it is sand in the front brakes due to when you push them it gets louder and they skip rather than have a solid hold is there any way i can get the sand out with out taking my brakes apart? also are the eiger wheel bearings sealed ive heard that hondas arent but was wonderin about suzuki

The obvious question - How are your brake pads? One year in mud can wear them down, especially if they are original equipment. My first set made it to 1,200 miles, but they were worn down to nothing. Second set (EBC) has over 1,600 on them and are still in good shape.
idk never checked them i only have 475 miles on mine but if they worn out why would it make a sound when i dont press the brake i have to check them thanks

All you've got to do to check the front pads is pull a wheel off and look. A completely worn out pad will make a scraping noise even if the brakes are not applied - the pads are very close to the rotor when the brakes are not in use so the raw edges of the worn out pad can still touch.
