Hello gang, nice forum and very active. I look very forward to being a part of it. I just bought a 93 suzuki 230 not sure what model it is, decals missing, but it is red with a blue front grill piece, shifts and runs good, it has a hell of a rattle in the front, appears to be the loose plastic, the shift side rear wheel has some play in it when you jerk it, where can I get the bearings and races for this bike and are they hard to replace, also what are some things to check for before i start haulin ass on the trails with it, it seems to be a very peppy bike. does the dealership still support these old models??

Looks like 93 is the last year for the 230. http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_atv_parts.htm

I would check the chain and swingarm bearings and axle bearings before I did anything else. The chain will come off and end up cracking the case if you don't replace any loose bearings.

Try rockymountainatv or bikebandit. Also, get a new chain if you want to be sure it doesn't come off.

you might want to buy a chain tensioner to be on the safe side cuz if the chain falls off it will shoot its way threw the side case

My son also has a '93 Suzuki LT 230 E. 'E' stands for electric start and chain drive. There are other extension letters but I forgot what they stood for. I have ordered parts from 'mrcycles.com' through Shawn. They have got the lowest prices I've seen, incredible friendly and fast service. They have exploded parts view of our quads...so it's easy to see part numbers and prices. Check 'em out!!
