Fast!
A lot more speed than I would want to ride, trail or street on those soft tires.

Regards!

Exactly, some times when I'm on a long straight wide gravel logging road,I go WOT and ride at close to 60mph and the ATV starts slowly drifting side to side because of the 5 psi balloon tires and I feel nervous not thrilled.

Then I think if this 500 60mph ATV was a 800 would I open the throttle some more and try and hit 70MPH about now? I think not ,for me anyways.

I do ride with faster larger ATVs but it seems they run out of nerve before throttle also.

Have hit 65 on my 07' 800, but to fast on wobbley tires. Not that I have anything against going fast but like doing it safe. Not trying to break any records or bones...hahaha.

That's fast. No, that's scary fast. Nice to know but I think I'll stick with 500s. I almost traded one for a 400 when everone I knew was getting 600s and bigger. A 400 MIGHT be big enough for me, but I wasn't sure so I got another 500. I love them and keep buying them.

It was over 50, 50-55 I think. I can't remember because I haven't rode it since last year, except to plow snow. I can usually only go 15-20 mph on the 50" wide trails and top speed doesn't mean a whole lot to me.

The cheapest trick for more speed is change the front tires from toe out to toe in.
Normal adjustment is 1/8" to 1/4" toe out. I adjusted mine to 0" in one time and the next time 1/8" toe in.

At 0" it was 3 mph faster, but spooky handling. At 1/8" toe in, speed increase was the same but handling was a lot better.
