You asked how to attach flat strap to a winch? just drill 2 1/8in holes in the drum (no it wont hurt anything) and put a couple short self tapping skrews threw the strap to the drum.
The real trick gere is not the skrews but using about 3-4foot of strap. once the strap loops around itself it will tighten and hold itself on.

i just wanted to give a big thanks to someone! (i forget who exactly lol) but i think it was someone on the polaris forum who had a great idea to use a flat toe strap on a winch to rase/lower a plow!

when i broke the cable on my winch i thought i was skrewed for the rest of the winter but somebody poasted a pic of a flat strap on the winch drum. i rigged one up myself and it workes perfect!



How did you attach the flat strap to the roller? I have a ton of tow straps around here and I thought I would use one of them for the atv plow this winter just not sure how to hook it up.
