Thanks so much for your post regarding the shift lever shaft getting frozen. My wife's 04 honda 400 AT lever wasn't going into drive, neutral and reverse as easily as it should have. It was getting stuck/frozen. After reviewing your post I removed the shaft cleaned it up with fine steel wool, oiled it, etc., put it back. It's fine now. Thanks so much. Dennis 703-324-1643

Please help stair me in the right direction by reading my thread (marine tech) I have a 2004 rubicon 500 hondamatic I bought it with the issue. The old man said he swamped it. He drove it home and shut it off. Now the engine runs but doesn't move. I brought to a dealer and they charge me a 100.00 and all they did was start it and remove a screw on the side and said it has no oil pressure. I bought a manual but it doesn't go over that issue.

What's codes and how do I get to the oil pump chain.
I just a new bee looking for advice from the experts please help.

Wow... sounds like your the guy to ask. Well I've got an 05 rancher 350 that won't charge the battery. (new battery and rectifier) With the ground cable off and checking voltage from it to the positive cable it shows around 3 volts from the stator, but when I touch the cable to the battery it doesn't add the voltage to the battery according to my meter?.... I did the same test to another 350 rancher and it added the voltage to the existing battery voltage(12.5) bringing it up to 14.8. why won't this one do the same thing?. Everything seems to be okay...I'm stumped...bad stator? man I hate quessing
