I have the same atv is it possible that you could send me a picture of the plug going into the cdi box showing what color wires go where. I had to rewire mine and can not find this info anywhere. Please send it to rcpilot4@gmail.com. I am in desperate need of this info and have spent weeks looking for it all over the internet.

It appears to me as that the needle roller bearings for the idler gear have melted, not the shaft. The needle roller bearings are 20mm X 26mm and should cost about $13.00 to replace for each bearing. The housing is aluminum and can be welded by a professional aluminum welder for about $30-$40, and machining of the weld for a bearing recess would be additional to the welding but probably for a bit less.
As to replacing the gears, I am still investigating.
