I live in Ogden, NY. The following is an quote from the proposed ban being voted on Wed. 5-27-09...

"It shall be unlawful to operate or for the owner to permit the operation of any
type of motor-driven vehicles or conveyances, including but not limited to twowheeled
vehicles known as “minibikes,” trailbikes” and “motorcycles,” three or
four-wheeled vehicles known as “ATV’s” or ATC’s” or the like and fourwheeled
motor vehicles known as “go-carts” and “no-wheeled vehicles,” such
as but not limited to snowmobiles and limited-use vehicles as defined in Article
1 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, under the following circumstances."

I wont be able to use my atv to hunt or plow my driveway with anymore!

I would say that you and your fellow operators would want to show up at that meeting with your ducks in a row and give them the facts of why it is an overzealous plan.

In plan on going to the meeting. The problem is I think most of the farmers will be on board. We have a lot of idiot riders around here that ride without permission.

It only takes a few idiot knotheads to louse it up for the rest of us. Not just riding without permission but add loud exhaust, ripping down streets & residential areas, littering.

Upnort hit the nail on the head! Too many rule breakers around here. They are the same idiots that ride on the sled trails all winter. Nothing like ****ing off our fellow powersports lovers!

I will be calling all 3 local atv dealers tomorrow. Hopefully they can talk some sense into the town.

What your local farmers don't use ATVs on their farms? All the farmers in my county would be out of business without their ATVs and SxS machines.
