DeeDawg,
beleive me, im not just some ''OTHER GUY'' on the internet with the information that I posted above. Im a properly licensed and certified ORV safety Director who resides in Michigan.
No BS from me, just the facts!</end quote></div>
Bill - I didn't say you don't know what you are talking about; you simply took it that way. It's always better to get the info yourself rather than from an unknown sourse in an internet chat room/thread. There are plenty of people in here who don't know what they are saying, and other people that will deliberately lead someone astray.

OH YAH,
I KNOW your RIGHT about some people who are in here who dont know what they are saying and some that will deliberately lead you astray.
However, when one leaves his full name, website address, and phone number at the bottom of his post, I think you can be reasonable assured that the person is REAL.
And beleive me bro------IM REAL
Happy Trailing.

Even if there is no hard and fast rule, common courtesy should rule here. </end quote></div>
Exactly. our sport has a bad enough public image without antagonizing people needlessly. Deer season is over in a week or two. Just take those weeks off. Yes, it may be perfectly legal for you to go tearing through the woods with your piped banshee and it would be entirely legal. However, you're turning everyone you encounter or hears you doing so against you. it doesn't take very much of that before enough complaints come in that trails start closing and legislators take the opportunity to start passing laws.
Most trail closures, restrictions and restrictive legislation are because of people in our sport. We've got a core of irresponsible dullards who can't see any farther than their own self satisfaction. It won't be tree huggers that shut down trails and ultimately doom our sport. We will. Or rather certain people in the larger ATV community will.

That still doesn't mean anything to me. I was answering a question that someone asked, whether or not you liked my answer is irrelevant to me.

What an arrogant response!
I also was answering a question. The differance is, the answer's I give, comes directly from the mouth of someone who is trained and is specialized in answering these types of ORV questions to the general public, on an everyday basis.
Its now appearant that you cannot figure out the differance between a user who is receiving an answer from somebody who deals with these kind of questions on an EVERYDAY basis who is also a specialist in his/her field, and the average internet user who may or may not lead someone astray with their answer.
I dont think anyone in here really cares what is irrelevant to you, as long as they get the correct answer to their question.
I did MY part.

Oh and btw muddy it is also the answer that is printed directly in the 2008-09 michigan hunting rules and regulations handbook.
Go to any local store that sells hunting permits and you can pick one up for free and read the rules for yourself.
It should also be on the michigan DNR webpage @
www.michigan.gov/dnr

I agree. Hunting stores that also sell ORV stickers is a great way to get the handbook of Michigan ORV vehicle laws..
I get about 500-750 or so of these handbooks a year sent to my office, and I distribute them to many ORV dealers in my area. I tell them to make sure every buyer takes one home with them when the deal is closed. Not all dealers do this and it really makes a bad name for themselves, especially for the un-informed buyer who does not know ORV laws.
And of course, every student I instruct an ORV safety class too, also take one home.
