Tao Tao atv won't start
I just purchased the Tao Tao 125 a couple months ago for my son. I took it out to start it up yesterday and it wouldn't start. Well actually it did for a second then cut off. I assumed it was the battery being dead. I charged it up and went to hook the battery up. I wasn't paying attention and I hooked the battery cables up in reverse. The positive was on the black and it started to spark. Still thought nothing of it. When I went to start the atv nothing happened. So I recharged the battery and tried again with no luck. I think I may have blown a fuse but don't know where to start to check. Can someone give me advice?

The Tao Tao is like working with a large scale R/C car/buggy.
There is a fuse on the left side of the frame, typical inline cylinder type.
You need to have the basics to work on any machine, if not then you have to pay to play. Must have handy a multi meter w tone, and resistance reading.
First check if there is spark when cranking it. If not check that the coil is not loose or disconnected. See if the spark plug smells like fuel. I have a Tao Tao and they are not bad atvs. I use it for hunting and to do my random neighborhood watch.
I must say you got a visit w the mechanic.
