LT80 brake issues

LT80 brake issues
I'll preface this by saying I'm relatively new to ATV's in general and have very limited knowledge and experience working on them. With that said, I bought my daughter a LT80 that is in very good condition and runs quite well. After I brought it home I wanted to make sure everything was working well. I noticed that the front brakes needed adjustment. The right front works well but the left seems to be stuck. The lever is a very hard pull. I tried to make adjustments to the cables with no luck. So is the solution to replace the cable? Could it be an issue the the brake pads? Like I said, this is all new to me but the only way to learn is ask and then do it. Thanks.

Sounds like the cable is frozen.
You can disconnect the cable from the bottom of the lever (on the hub) to see if the lever moves freely.
LT80 front brake cables have the return spring built into the end of the cable, they are known for rusting & breaking. You can buy OEM cables from bikebandit.com or Chinese copys on ebay. I just put the copies on a spare bike and they work great.

Replaced the cable and lubed the other. I also lubed as recommended by lt80. Everything seems to be working greT and spinning freely now. Thanks for the help. One last thing for now. How long should I leave the choke on after I start it? Seems like it wants to die if I take it off too soon.

Make sure the lines are on correct. Closest to the motor is the vacuum supply to the petcock. Middle is obviously the fuel supply. Farthest from motor is the vent hose.
Put the petcock on prime. Fuel should flow to carb. Choke on and try it. If that don't do it, hand choke it with 2 fingers in front of carb.
Once the bowl fills with gas, you can put the petcock in the run position.

Guess I ended up figuring it out. I checked all my lines and everything was good. Gas in the bowl and still nothing. It ended up being the throttle cable. It wasn't getting seated in the top of the carb for some reason and once I figured that out, it started right up and runs great. Don't even need to choke it to start it. Thanks for the reply and the help!
