Default Eton 90 - electric shift sensor testing?

Calling all ETON owners that have any suggestions on the electric shift

I have a question about an Eton 90 that I am trying to get running.

It's a Rover 90 but I think the 90 viper uses the same wiring and CDI

It has the electric shift and the muti-wire cdi

I did get a copy of the manual and searched many websites with no good results

I figured out the spark and the neutral position and the brake needing to all be in correct state for getting the starter to work

This has the electric shift and the schematic or manual doesn't show what is going on with the voltages to the shift sensors? When I bought this machine used, there were many pieces removed. The electric shift motor was removed and not working. I put it on the bench and finally got it working ( brushes )

I'm wondering where the shift sensors are at for position and how to bump the shift motor so it goes back to where it is supposed to be - the prev owner had hot wired 12 v to the shift motor and so I'm trying to get things back to normal.

Is there a way to test the CDI?

Is there a way to test the Magneto coils?

What voltages are being switched by the position sensors inside the tranny? ( positive 12v or negative 12v) ?

I have mounted the shift motor back into the tranny and tried to use the toggle switch shifter to make the motor spin ( didnt work )

So I bumped the shift motor with 12v dc in either direction - hoping the indicator lights would light up if I got the tranny in the right place ( didnt work )

I may need a CDI but if anyone has any helpful info - it would be appreciated very much

Please help and Thank you
