Default LT80 to lean?

Was wondering if it was normal for the exhaust tip to be an ash grey instead of a sooty black?Just don't want it to be too lean.I'm running a 75 main/37.5 pilot.Has anyone else ran this combo before?Mine runs very well just curious about pipe tip color. Thanks for any replies.

Whats the spark plug look like? Are you running an aftermarket pipe or intake?

Sooty black means too rich... Brownish/grey is good but I would look at the spark plug before the pipe

plug is light tan.If I richen it up any at all it starts sputtering on top.I was just curious cause I haven't seen a 2 stroke that didn't have a little black soot at the end of the pipe. This one is solid grey no black.I am running straight vp race fuel/Torco gp-7 32:1,factory carb, single fiber reed,Trinity pipe if that matters. Thanks
