Default 90cc E-ton, bore the cylinder

I just picked up an E-ton NXL90. I bought it super cheap, not running. Once I got it home I had it running in an hour or so. After a few hours of run time, it stopped and compression was down. I tore the to end apart and the piston was galled to the point where it bound the rings. I shopped the Internet and bought a 52mm piston, rings, gaskets and wrist pin.

The problem is- NOBODY around here will bore the cylinder. They all say its too small for their equipment. They all claim the could hone it to size but going from 50mm to 52mm would be too costly to hone at their shop rate.

Can anyone recommend a machine shop in central Florida that can bore a 50mm cylinder? Anywhere between Tampa and Orlando would be great. I would also be willing to mail the cylinder out if the price of boring is reasonable enough.

Thanks!

It should cost 60 bucks or so.
I can do it.
Curious, why not get a .5 (50.5mm) over piston instaead of going to max on the cylinder (52mm)?

I only found 52 and 54mm pistons available, so u bought the smaller 52 thinking it would be easier. Go figure. .. Where are you located?

OK, I see what sizes are offered. 52mm up. It makes me wonder what size piston/bore you have now. Maybe 52mm is stock.
Does the new piston fit in the cylinder?
Better measure I guess.

Its 50mm now, measures 1.96 something (I measured just don't remember exactly) and needs to go to 2.04xx.

Measure the bottom of the new piston and the bore size.
IMO, if it is within .007 or so, all you need is a ball hone run thru it to break the glaze.
Much over .008 and you need a bigger piston and cylinder bored to it.

No its not .008, its .08, 80 thousandths over. Way too far to hone.

The good news is that I found a new cylinder 52mm for $40 shipped!
Thanks to all for the help
