Default Lt80 died and wont restart?

My son was riding today when the quad just cut off. I attempted to restart with no luck.. Of course first checked the gas..had plenty. Pulled the plug..it was a lil wet from trying to turn it over..dried that up. Pulled the front breather hose from the carb and some gas poured out? Assuming just lil flooded? I had put on a clear gas filter some i hope nothing got into the carb. I also checked the fuse and the red dot breaker all seemed ok! It was running fine. I briefly attempted to search for a solution, but was becoming more confused. I keep reading about the many issues with compression. Reeeeeaallly hoping that is not it! Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks

You need to fix the flooding problem.
Try giving the carb a good cleaning.

The carb can get dirty while riding? I understand if it sits and gums up. If I pull it apart is there a specific spot that is problematic on these?

Also I think it was flooding from me trying to turn it over? Possible?

No, good chance it's in the float needle and seat.
Fearlessfred says the diaphram in the vac petcock goes bad and allows fuel to flow down the vac tube and into the carb.
Maybe check the vac hose and see if it's dripping.
