Default LT/KFX80 * lots of smoke when cold

Is it normal for these things to put out a lot of smoke when cold and still using the stock oil injector? The smoke lessens as it warms up. Would blocking off the injector and going 40:1 pre*mix help with the smoke? The bike runs great but the smoke is a bit of an annoyance especially if I need to start it up in the garage.

Normal.....and I like to see that smoke, means my boys 4 wheeler is getting proper lubrication. Like you said, it lessons once its warm and definitely at speed. Push it outside before you start it, problem solved.

I dont have your answer on the pre*mix....Im a big fan of the oil injectors. Even if they dont work when I get a quad or bike I always make them work.

Redline is supposed to be a very good oil. I'm wondering if it's meant to be used in a injection system. Some oils are not made to be injected.
I'm not a fan of the injectors. They work good till they don't then it's piston/bore time.
I'd run 32:1 if you remove the injection.
