Can am is the same way. But they are using SYM atvs.

I know the ds250 I bought has SYM stamped on the motor, but not sure if they still do, or they have Rotax stamped on them. When asked, a dealer will (or is supposed to) tell you that the motors are made to Rotax specs.

Whatever. To me, that's like stamping Yamaha on a chinese engine.

Oh, and Polaris is using E-ton, I believe. Could be wrong on the maker, but they're not actual Polaris.

Seems like some kind of disclosure on them would be nice.

yes a disclosure would be nice. so at that point you might as well buy a china quad. and save the money. they will all be made by the same company.

Actually, the ones made in Taiwan and not mainland China are quite a bit better. I have an 06 Aeon, and my brother in law bought a China made at a local flea market. The difference in the two are very noticeable. The frames alone are night and day. The China one looks like tubing compared to mine.

The ds has had no problems, other than it's pretty gutless compared to the 250 Trail Blazer we have. But, it's a good loaner quad.
