They would then share parts right? Would anyone happen to know what Polaris is compatible with a 2006 Eton Viper 90R?

Go to the Polaris website. In the upper portion of the screen, click on Riders, then click on Manuals and Parts. You'll need to sign up, but it's free.

Once you're signed in, then choose ATV, Parts and Year.

I just bought a 2004 Aeon/Alpha Sport 90 for 200 bucks. Other than the plastic, this is the exact same thing as the Polaris Predator 90.

Thanks for the link.....it really looks like the Eton Viper 90r is the same as the Polaris Predator 90. Can someone confirm this? Thanks in advance!!!

This is absolutely not true!.At least not for the two stroke non reverse models..Try exchanging parts between a predator and a viper...You will find that not many parts interchange other than the normal CVT parts but they are still not identical..The predator is a physically bigger frame with different suspension travel and componants....Even the engines are different with different bore and different carb sizes...I don't know of one single part that I would say is identical...

I think Hetrick racing would argue a lot of parts are indeed interchangeable.

Well most of the stock engine/trans parts will interchange(as they will with most of this style CVT type atv's) but they are not the same..Like I said different bore size, different carb, different exhaust, roller wieghts electrical system, chain size, etc and the chassis is totally different. It would be very difficult to name many parts that are "identical"....As far as "aftermarket" bolt on parts for the engine yes they may well be the same regardless of what was original equipment on the atv...
For example the Eton has an 82cc engine with a smaller bore than most(50mm VS 52mm)..If your buying a rebuild kit from Hetricks they will likely just give you the more common 52mm top end kit which will take you out to 89ccs...It's not the original parts but it will give you a little more power which is what most people are after.

Agreed they are not exactly the same. But like you said, if you're rebuilding one like I am, or have one you want more power out of, you can use the same aftermarket parts.

But then I have an Aeon and not an Eton, so as far as stock parts swapping out, I can't be sure about the Eton. But if it comes down to it, I'll make whatever I can get work.
