Default LT80 won't idle without choke on... any help?

I got mine at napa. no need to need a size. rubber cap with gage is pressed on the spark plug hole, tape throttle wide open and crank over motor. I think the kit cost 25.00. it has addapters to make longer. alot easer than the old thread in kind. I think its a 4 or 5 piece kit

Your pilot jet controls the idle, pull the pilot jet out and check again, and spray it down with cleaner. My brothers lt 80 did the same thing. Ran great with the choke on, but would die with it off. Took the carb apart again and found part of the o-ring was blocking the jet.

I have a Honda 90 Fourtrax that would not idle without the choke on. It just started doing this, so I got on the internet and they suggested to clean the pilot jet with a guitar string. Well, today that's exactly what I did. And......it started right up, took the choke off and it kept right on running. It is fixed. Thank you internet and these forums.
