Ya man, there are several restricors to look for.
1. The restricrer in the intake tube, between the carb. and cylinder.
2. The restricter in the exhaust pipe. Look for this one between the cylinder and the exhaust flange.
3. Remove the bushing on the variator. You do this by removing the clutch/belt cover then use and impact to remove the nut from the clutch on the engine. Pull the assembly off and remove the bushing.
4. Remove the throttle limiter bushing from the carb. Pull the carb. off and pull the slide out. remave slide from cable and then remove the bushing.

This should give you lots more power. I did all of this to mine and it really goes now. Hope this helps.

Depending on what year it is some cats had huge rear sprockets as well to limit top end speed.
