Default Lance Mini-Panther 110: Any feedback?

Thanks, yadaok. Should receive ours Wed. or Thur. What weight oil did you use? I've read not to use synthetic oil until after break-in but am not sure. Maybe someone could chime in on this subject. Also, is the user manual a "real" manual or just a few pages of warnings?

My manual said to use 10w-40 motor oil. I've never used synthetics in any of my quads and have gotten good life out of them all. Just stick to the scheduled maintenance intervals and you'll be OK.

My husband put 15W/40 in when he replaced it over the weekend. The manual says to use 10W/40 but it must have been on the engine or somthing to use 15W. It comes with a real manual of sorts. It reads in broken english sometimes and there are funny grammatical errors. The manual shows the choke lever being down on the engine when it is actually on the left handle bar. The manual really wasn't much help with stuff. There are the lots of warnings stuff in it.

It looks like you have had the lancer for a little while. Are you still happy with them? Im looking to buy a Roketa 58 which looks like its the same thing; but im trying to get some reviews before i buy it.

We are still very happy with the Lance Mini Panther. Other than having to tighten the rear hub every now and again, we really haven't had any problems. We had forgotten to check the screws that hold the brake light cover on, and when my daughter was riding it on rough ground, the screws came out and the brake light cover fell off and the bulb blew from being shook so much. The cover didn't break when it fell off, and I almost ran over it too. We went to the auto parts store and got 2 more bulbs for $3.00 and put one in and it's been working fine since. Both my husband and I have ridden the Mini Panther around at full speed and this little thing moves (won't let my daughter to that because she's too small and not ready to go that fast yet). I was riding next to my husband on a 4 wheeler with a speedometer on it and it was saying anywhere between 35-40 mph. Not too shabby for a kids four wheeler carrying an adult. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. We are really happy with it for what we paid and my daughter has had a blast on it all summer.

Update on the Coolster: We've put about 10 or so tanks of gas through it. Seem to have gotten a grip on the fasteners as there are rarely any loose when checking any more. Have developed some play in the rear swing-arm. The swing-arm moves left and right when the weight is off of the wheels. Looks like the bushings are going out where the long bolt goes through the frame and swing-arm. May have to tear it down in the near future and have a look. I'm afraid that too much more play and we are gonna start having issues with the chain jumping off the sprocket. The battery storage tray mounted to the frame just under the rear fender fell off on the last ride. The battery fell off along with the tray. Ripped the wiring out with it. There were only two bolts in the top of the compartment tray that bolt into the frame. The compartment had a lot of wiggle in it since new. Well the metal snapped off just below where the bolts screw into the frame. Had to replace the connectors on the ends of the + and - wires. Found some 4" square tube and cut to the dimensions of original and cut off one wall of tube to make it into a c-channel and mounted to frame. I think the quad will fall apart before the new tray falls off again.

The battery compartment on the Mini Panther is much like that on the Coolster. It knocked around alot when my daughter was riding it so we used rip ties (electrical ties) to secure it better to the machine. I think if we hadn't done that, it would have suffered the same fate as SilveradoSS Coolster.
