My son has had is Hensim 70cc quad for about 4 months now and with the nicer weather upon us he's been riding it just about every weekend. I noticed that the crank case gets super hot. I dont remember my dirtbike crank case getting so hot. Has anyone else noticed this with their Honda clone engines? Does anyone know what the normal operating temperature is for the engine oil? Has anyone seen where I could buy one of those oil temp dipsticks?

While I'm on the subject, what type of motor oil are you all using for your Honda clones? I run Valvoline 10w40 ATV oil here in downstate NY.
