Default Kazuma 50 no spark issue

Hey all,
Just signed to this site looks to be a good place to get info and hopefully share some also,

I have an almost new kazuma 50 atv that has lost spark. I have read most of all the posts in this forum related to the topic. checked all barrel connectors/fuse/newplug.
I have 12volts going to my coil when starter button is depressed. and no spark.
0 ohm between coil connectors is that normal? My guess is to order a coil but thought I should post here before dropping the doe on a non fix.
Thanks for any advice.

Yes ,
I did check both switches for continuity and dissassembled the handlebar switch and checked.
Would voltage get to the coil if they where bad?

I did cut off wires to rear switch / it opens circuit when pulled so left inop.
I did order the coil last night.
thanks for response

Have you tried changing the spark plug. The stock one that I received already died and needed to be replaced after I tipped the bike over to look underneath. Only 2 hours on the machine!!

Thanks for your input.
Yes I did swap out the plug first.

If voltage is present at the coil input during start button being pressed there should be a spark?
I am no mechanic but that seems only logical...... but I have been wrong before.

So when you cut off the rear kill switch, did you close the circuit or leave it open? The kill switch is open when pulled.

From what I saw when I took apart my rear kill switch, you need to wire them together (ie close the loop) to make the engine enable. Not sure if you have already tried that. If you have been cranking the engine alot you also have to watch out for flooding of the carb. Maybe someone else has a comment on the wiring

got the new coil $30...and got spark for first few cranks!!! and then gone now only 2V to coil inputs! What a piece of garbage.
I have signal traced pretty much the whole harness using my multimeter the side kill switch/plug is a loop on the positive side to coil , have tried the rear switch wire spliced together and also apart, from resisitance check of the pull switch it seems to me they should be left apart. have rechecked fuse and handlebar kill switch. Going back into it tonight, Then off to a dealer and buy a jap bike for the kid.
