New GIO 50cc
I have had a few gio's and never had to charge the batteries before using. Including the new dual exhaust one's.
If you set the throttle govener down low and run the headlights you will be recharging the batteries.
Headlights use more battery than system can charge with govener set low.
With no govener i can ride allday with headlights on.

number one reason for short life span of a battery is not fully chargeing it before use, to get the most out of your batteries is to fully charge them before installing , then after they installed when not in use, use a battery tender to maintain charge, if you follow this your batties will last for years instead of months

Ok thanks...the reason I ask is I figured I'd give them a test ride but after connecting the battery wires
and trying to start I get nothing...yeah I filled it with gas (lol) and checked the oil. I know I need to change the
oil and plug as well....but I figured I would just give it quick run...maybe not...
