I have a Carter Brothers Talon DLX 150IIR. I am looking to share information with other Talon Go-Kart users. I love mine and have about 3 miles of track right behind my house. I am looking to identify what moter is in this baby for sure, due to Carter not having that info in the manual. I would like to know if there is any upgrades to be done to boost the HP a tad in this 12.5HP 150cc 4 stroke. Mabey even a new carb or air cleaner. I would also like to know if the shocks that came standard on the Talon should be considered high performance shocks, or so so ones to get the cart out the door? My Carter dealer has all the shocks adjusted on only the second click, but the manual states that they come from the factory in the middel position so I think the dude got lazy or thought there wouldn't be one or two 200 pound rider all the time. I would like to know how your shocks are set and if you have done an upgrade. Any general info and tips would be greatly appreachiated as this is my first ATV.

 

I'm in the same boat as you. I want to pick up some power in my Talon too. As I find stuff I'll let you know.
