Prairie 650 Where can I get the "Mobil 424" for the rear end? Everywhere I call has no clue.

I understand that you can purchase Mobil 424 from Grainger......
Goto www.grainger.com
People.......DO NOT use anything but the Mobil fluid 424.
No other fluids have been tested or approved by Kawasaki.
By using any other types of fluids you risk possible damage or a shortened life to the brake plates......and possible warranty problems.

I understand what you're saying, but I have no problem using an oil from john deere because the specs are the same as mobil 424, and they are used in the same applications, and used in wet brakes/final drive units. Plus it is 4x cheaper and can be bought locally. Same stuff, different brand. But I would never use gear oil. My kawi dealer too told me to use standard gear oil. I told him about the special oil, he then went to talk to the mechanic. He then said he didn't have a clue and will have to get some of that "stuff".
