Default Kawasaki brute force idle problems

I have a 2010 brute force 750i fuel injected. I just bought the brute and the previous owner had it idled high. I have rode a few times since buying it and it has idled down and wants to shut off when trying to go from high to reverse. It sometimes idles up high too. I'm trying to figure out what is going on with it. Anyone have any answers or had the same problem?

Default Idle problems

It has a freshly rebuilt motor with less than 100 miles on it. It has a full muzzy exhaust also. Was going to take it and get it tuned real good but wanted to see if it was something simple maybe and try to do it myself

Have the carb cleaned? See also if there's vacuum leak between carb and the engine.
