winch contactor location

I bought a Gorrilla (now Promark) winch for my 2004 Kawasaki Prairie 360 4x4. I mounted it last tuesday, and yesterday (om sunday) my contacter has already went out. I have rode the atv 3 times since i mounted it in not to bad of situations for about 2 hrs each ride. Used the winch once. Anyways i mounted the contactor on the frame rail right under the rear tire, exhaust side which is my fear of why it is already done. Im trying to figure out a good place that yall have already mounted your contactors. I was thinking in the rear storage box since i do not really use it anyways. PLease let me know as the new part will be in on friday and i will be mounting it. Pics would be good too.

I have a 1996 Bayou 4x4 300 with the #3000 Gorilla winch and had it for about a year with no issues and used plenty of times. My contactor is located on the left frame rail over the left rear tire opposite the muffler.
