Default seal in rear drive shaft

Just in process of puttin in new swinarm bearings in my 05 650 bf. Not an easy job, but getting through it. Had the driveshaft out of where it slides into the rearend and noticed that it is leaking rear fluid. Isupect that this is so due to having the shaft out. SO does the shaft slide into a seal? Any info much appreceiated? thaks Ren.

Leaking rear fluid?
Did you mean out of rear hole in the engine? If yes, that's engine oil and of course it would leak without the shaft in there.

Replace the seal anyway if you have the shaft out, good preventive maintenance.

When you reinstall the shaft into the seal, put lots of grease in between and make sure the tension spring does not pop out from the seal.
