Default bad fuel pump 86 bayou 1885 and carb question

my pump is out, and i was thinking of buying a generic pump that will support 25hp, anyone see a problem?

also, what is the method for tuning the carb? i am going to order a new needle and jet, it sat up and still runs a bit iffy after i cleaned it up before the pump went

all in all it is a great bike

Are you sure your 1885 got a 25 hp motor?
Isn't fuel gravity fed to the carb, not by a fuel pump?
If there is a pump, is it an electrical type or vacuum type or mechanically driven?

the tank is down low, so it needs a pump, it has an inline electric pump, the cheap pump suports 25hp, and figured it would be more than enough

just any cheap inline small e pump

any word on carb tuning?

I presume he means 185, but still could be a touch on the low side.

when i pulled the pump it was a Mr Gasket micro pump, so i got one off the shelf at autozone, it is a 35gph 4-7psi, overkill im sure, but it has to pull less amps than the old one going out, now i just need to know how to tell what jet and needle is in my carb so i can order an replacement

and how do i tune the fuel/air screws
