Default 1994 Kawasaki Mojave 250 Will Not Kick Start When Cold PLEASE HELP!!!

Hello I have recenly clean my carb out lots of shit in there it kick started cold fine before i cleaned it but ran like crap now i cleaned it out and runs excelnt but will not kick start when cold i can kick till im blue in the face not even a puff or a pop and yes the choke is on i even tryed differnt postions no luck i can only get it running when its cold by compression starting it once i let it warm up about 8 minutes it will run great and it will kick start if you dont let it sit more then 10 minutes after that you are screwed now when i disasmbled it the jet that is in the hole like a 3/4 inch down it was stuck so when backing it out it got a little *****ed theres little scrachs on the head of it i dont know if this could be the cause or what but its kinda hard to compression start it when theres snow on the ground so the kick starter would be very use full

I just read your post and my mojave does not start well when cold either, I learned that from riding Honda xr/xl for years that if you tip your bike up on it's side until gas runs out the carb ( you will see it running out) your bike will start much easyer.
