08 Brute Force 750 vs Grizzly, which is the better buy?

Next month, I will be in the market for a new ATV and I'm undecided which one to purchase. My last machine was an 03 Kawasaki Prairie and I loved the power, but I do like the Grizzly, and heard that it's powerful, but not as much as the 650 or 750. The electronic steering seems to be a nice feature, but I never had an issue with turning the handle bars on the Prairie.
From reading the spec sheets, the Grizzly 700 is about 50 lbs lighter than the Brute Force 750, but can you really notice the weight difference when riding both machines? How much more power does the Brute Force 750 have over the Grizzly 700? Is it significant?

Brute force 750, becuase everything about it is better. the suspension, travel, speed, turning radious,acceleration,looks,towing ability, power, plowing and everything else is way better than the grizzly.

they are both excellent machines. I was in your position last year and i went with the brute 750, it has had the power to do everything i have asked of it. I live in a snowbelt and routinely get over a foot of snow at a time and it has pushed my 5' blade thru the snow almost effortlessly. I also use it to pull my 5' deck mower around my 3 acre yard and my hilly trails to keep them trimmed. I also use it for pulling a trailer around my property to cut up and haul firewood. I'm sure the grizz would be able to do this just as easily. Either machine would be a good purchase for you.

If you are on the outside looking in such as me you might take a look at the websight listed below. The only thing I will tell you is the Grizz is winning just about every big bore shootout there is and it would be the machine I would choose!

Both are good quads. Go ride them both and choose the one you like the best. You can't hardly go wrong with either one.

The powerband on the Grizz is a different feel than the Brutes.
Once you've had a VTwin, it is tough to go back to a thumper.
Your Spec sheet added a zero, the Grizz is only 5 pounds lighter not 50 as you stated.
Whatever you go with, I'm sure you will be happy with it.

As a former Brute Force 750 ('05) owner I can say that I miss the power and sound of the V-twin, but everything about the EPS Grizzly is an improvement IMO, although it does depend on what you are looking for in a ride. I didn't have any problem with my stiff steering (compared to my '02 660 Grizzly) Brute at all, but my first ride on the EPS Grizzly had me giggling. To really see the difference, try riding and flogging the 700 Grizzly through the woods for a few days, then go back and ride the Brute through the same course. To get a real feel for what these machines are like, the ideal method would be to ride them in a real life situation and not in the parking lot of a dealer, so if you know somebody that has one and is willing to let you try it out, that would be a big plus for you...

i was in the same position about 2 months ago-- i purchased the BF750-- the power sealed the deal, but I could access the battery & air filter without using too many tools. The grizz required 4 screws and 10-15 min to check the airfilter.. not good for an off-road machine. I enjoy the light steering of the BF how crisp the throttle reponse is-- it weighs the same as the BF last i checked-- right at 600lbs dry. good luck
