A couple of Bayou 220 questions
I have a 2002 Bayou 220. It was not in the best of shape when I got and I"m rebuilding some of it. I was wondering what the tubes are coming off the back brake and do they have to be so long? Also where can I get choke parts? I have the lever and cable but not the part that screws into the carb. Also the air box is junk and I want to just take it out and put in an after market air filter. What should i get?
Sorry for so many question. I'm new to ATVs but I worked on Jap bikes and choppers for 7 years.

The tubes on the back axle are breather tubes. They have to be long so water doesn't get inside them when you drive into a river, lol.
Choke parts??? Probably have to order factory replacements. Just get a bigger carb off ebay and it will run 10 times better than stock. The stock carb is junk! Way too small. $20-$40 for a new carb on ebay. I have one from a suzuki lt230s on my bayou.
When you get the new carb, measure the back of the carb and order a KN filter. But I recommend some kind of airbox so the filter doesn't get clogged up the first time you go out riding. I have the lid off on mine.
