I have a 94 Bayou 220. WHen you shift into gear it stalls. I have tried to turn the idle up with the idle up it will start to roll. What could be the problem? Thanks for any help.

Maybe the plug is it gap..right,,,,Then i would look at the carb...the jets if u have any thing in one of them holes it will do that --2,,Just remove the 4..corner screws the main jets sit in the middle remove then and just make sure there are clean...if u hold them up in the light u can see right throw them.,..holes...then u no they are clean..good luck..

Good suggestions so far. Usually, if an engine stalls under load, it is in need of a tune up. Check the plug and air cleaner. If both are OK and the problem persists, a carburetor kit is likely needed...

mine did the same thing. my idle was set perfect when i was in neutral then as soon as i put it in gear it jumped forward and stalled. it turned out to be the one way bearing in the primary clutch was bad. i put a new one in and it works awesome now.
