Prairie 300 4x4 Tires?
I just picked up a 1999 Prairie and have some worn out mud lites on it currently. I am going to replace the tires and have discovered my rear rims are only 10" which is apparently hard to find tires for. I am looking at finding a set of rims off a newer prairie and getting a set of maxxis zilla's. Question is, should I go with the 25" zilla's with 3/4" tread depth or the 26" zilla's with 1 3/16" tread depth for $100 more? And will there be a performance difference? The 26" zilla's are actually lighter than the 25" mud lites looking at the specs
Any info would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

I have a 400 just a year older than yours. Being a 300 you might run into a power issue with a bigger than stock tire especially if you are going into muddy conditions. Type in your sizes on Amazon and you'll find some choices and maybe some better prices. I know the choices on back tires is a little limited (300 and 400 run the same size so I know). I went with Carlisle on the back when I replaced all 4 of mine in 2012 as they were best for price and what I was looking for (trail riding and pushing snow), but we all have our own specifics in mind.

i ride a 400. just replaced my tires with mudlites when i got it and ya sizing is limited.. I was told by the dealer i got my tires from i could go up 1 tire size with no issues.. and i trust this dealer. i would try to find a larger rear rim. thats what im looking for so when these tires are done im ready.

My little 350 Grizzly/Bruin handles 26" Zilla easily , I did not notice any power or speed loss vs the stock 25". My 350 does not even have a low range option and its turn those Zillas in some thick deep goo.
Zilla 26" weight the same as 25" Mudlites even though Zillas are wider and have a taller mud lug also
See for yourself. Zillas are the lightest 6ply mud tire made. Here is there specs.
Maxxis Zilla VS ITP Mud Lite.
Mudlite XLs 25x8-12 with 1" lug (19.7lbs) $92.95
Maxxis Zilla 26x9-12 with 1.19" lug (19.6lbs) $98.80
Why get smaller narrower tires with a shorter lug that cost and weigh the same?
