Well I had some major dammage done in my front dif. because of high torque demand with my Snow Trax on. I was using the dif lock lever quite often in deep snow. My error was using it even when I was turning. That gave too much strain on the dif. It twisted the whole clutch basket too hell and caused over $600 in parts only. Thank god I had the xtended warrenty; they covered everything.

I was driving my 03 Prairie 650 and when I went to engage the 4wd it only stayed in 2wd, also my speedo only reads 0 now. Anyone else experience this?

 

Sounds like the speed sensor.

Hey Guys I'm dealing with the same issue. My 4 wheel drive will not engage on my 02 prairie 650. I can hear the actuator making a noise when the 4 wheel drive switch is switched to 2 wheel drive. But when i go to put it in 4 wheel drive the actuator doesn't make any noise and it doesn't engage. trying to figure out what i should do.
