Hey there, I'm still relatively new to 4-Wheeling and I'm about to buy a quad of my own. The other night, I was riding with my dad onto our trails, and we planned on getting onto the road from the trails and riding up the road and turning around when a car started to drive by, the car was going slow, and we planned to let it pass, because we weren't on the road yet, and what do ya know? It's a cop. He rolls down his window and proceeds to politely ask us a few questions, and eventually let us carry on (we decided to turn around and go onto the trails afterwards ), which got me thinking, what punishments will I receive for riding unregistered and on a public road? It wouldn't be just crossing, it would be about a 200ft ride and then turning around. Would they impound my quad? Thanks for your help everybody!

 

I don't think they would impound it but you will get a ticket.
