Default Plow on a 2 wheel drive

Hi!! I have an '86 Honda TRX250 2 wheel drive to plow snow with. Its excellent. I have a cycle country 48 inch plow set up. If the snow is deeper than 6-7 inches, I just throw on a set of chains on the rear. Then there is no stopping it. I recently put on some dirt devil rear tires and it made a big improvement.

My 95 fourtrax had a CV joint go out and I haven't fixed it yet so it works just as a 2x4 would. I plow a lot of snow but I also have chains on the back. There isn't much it won't go through.

Alden is about 9 mi. east of Buffalo , now you know why I need a good plow . Im going to put it on a 96Polaris 425 2x4 Mag . Its a great machine for Hauling out deer and as a work hourse . I put a set of chains on it For deer season and it goes untill the snow gets to deep .I ordered a Cycle country 48 in plow and should have it in 2 weeks .

Thanks Frank

2 wheel drive will work but if you want to effectivly plow snow you will need 4 wheel drive. with 2 wheel drive you need to use more speed than anything to get the job done. and backing up in 2 wheel is not good. I tryed plowing in 2 wheel on my magnum 500 and I just dont think it is effective. but it is doable. just my idea.
