i'm trying to figure out the best thing for my 250r thats under $200.00 I'm going to west virginia soon, is there anything i need for there. I want to get new tires soon, with the maximum traction i can get. I was thinking about fast treckers, i heard they work well.

another problem, i jumped my R at a small motocross track the other day and my frame hit the ground, i'm thinking i need to have my shocks rebuilt, there works all around. Does anyone know how much nitrogen goes into them, i have triple rate front and i think ultracross rear.

whats the best investment i could make to my quad thats under 200.00

I had a set of fast trekker on my R, I liked the way they slide very easily, too easily actually. They are good for play riding but for MX you should pick up some Holesots or turf tamers 18". Another thing, my fasttrekker wore out fast due to the extreme spacing of the knobbies. They where down to 40-50% tread in about 8 rides, and I only ride for like 2 hours at a time so figure.

The best investment for under $200 dollars would be a good pipe if you don't already have one. On an R it makes a world of difference.

When I ride my R in the woods.I used 20/11/9 6 ply razr's.They are awesome tires. They hook up awesome, slide great and I have had them for a year and only have had 2 flats. They wear great to.

For 200 bucks the best investment would be a carb.Or a good reed valve setup.Like the boyesen rad valve, fmf ram valve, the vforve, etc etc.

Unless you've got $120 to spend every 10 races, stay away from Holeshot MX's. I will never own a pair after seeing my 18" Razr MX's, and using Tamers for a year.

$200? A carb is a good addition to any quad. My R has mild port work, FMF pipe, 38mm carb, Hy-Tech ATV reeds and spacer and it runs HARD. I would say a pipe and filter before anything. If you're going with a pipe, I'd recommend the ESR TRX6 or Pro Circuits new pipe. As for a carb, I love my 38mm Keihn/Sudco. As for reeds, I would go with V-Force or ESR. V-Force's are really trick, and ESR's have been proven to give the most HP. Boyesen(in my opinion) needs to pick up the ball and make some better units. They're getting outdated and outclassed by the "new kids on the block"

If all you can spend is $200 and your running the stock exhaust, get a pipe such as the ESR, air filter and a jet kit. This will be the most bang for your $$, performance wise. Beyond that it sounds like you need to update your shocks!! Unfortunately $200 doesn't go far when buying quad parts! You can buy all this stuff on ebay alot of times at good prices, just make sure the seller has a good track record, another place to find good used R stuff is:

i'm running all-traks, great in the mud and anything else, even do a little mx with them, and they wear awesome, i've got about 20 hrs on them and they still have about 85% left.

get a pipe if you don't already have one, which would require a filter.
or go for the boyesen rad vavle, adds 2hp or so?, better throttle response too
