Default 83 185s Carb issue?

Adjusted the fuel needle completely in then turned it out 1.5 turns (was told this is the factory settings) and it was puking fuel out of the airbox (have the airbox off and plugged the air inlet for about 2 pulls then it just pukes fuel out) so i turned to set screw all the way in (to my understanding this should cut the fuel completely off) then did the same thing and it still just pukes fuel out.

Anyway to resolve this issue or is this going to call for a new carb?

Four stroke engines don't have reed valves. Take the machine to someone used to working on ATV or motorcycle engines.

You just Try blowing some air into the fuel inlet....sometimes it works to clear out the needle and seat. I had the same problem on my Honda atv machine..and was resoled that time. If you will try this step may be you will get some idea. Hope will resolve the problem.
